Larry is a highly experienced information technology leader with strong combination of communication, relationship management, technical, problem solving, and delivery skills. His 25 year IT career has provided him with extensive experience with all facets of IT infrastructure and processes supporting large organizations including military, government contracting, and the private sector. Prior to joining GCN, he spent 18 years at Reed Elsevier / LexisNexis in the IT Infrastructure environment with roles including engineering, architecture, business relationship management, project management, and senior leadership. Larry’s combination of technical, project management, delivery, and account management skills make him a great partner to deliver complex efforts.
Immediately prior to joining GCN, Larry served as the Director of Program Management at Reed Elsevier Technology services, where he was responsible for a portfolio of 70+ internal and customer facing projects across the spectrum of IT Infrastructure. He and his team managed projects supporting Data Center consolidations, server virtualizations, network upgrades and deployments (LAN, WAN, VoIP), office migrations, acquisitions and divestitures, disaster recovery, and infrastructure life cycle updates (desktop, servers, storage, network).
In his role as Director of Customer Experience, Larry works directly with customers to ensure that projects are delivered to meet and exceed expectations. Every project has challenges … the key to overcoming them is to make them visible early, develop creative solutions, and provide the appropriate level of cooperative escalation to resolve them.
Larry is a military veteran and served honorably as a Computer & Communications Systems Officer in the US Air Force.
Larry lives with his wife of 18 short years and four boys in Springboro, OH where he is actively involved as a leader in the church youth group and as a coach. He also loves to play Ultimate Frisbee and keep track of the Duke Blue Devils in their many trips to the Final Four.
