Rogers Clawson is a proven leader and architect with extensive technical knowledge of Ethernet, wavelength, TDM services, international private lines, MPLS, cloud computing, colocation, IP transit, and managed data center services.
Rogers’s career in Telecom started in 2004 with RCN and RCN Metro. Rogers has worked all aspects of telecom ranging from front line engineering/ troubleshooting, to Account Management/Customer Service, Project Management, Product Development, and Sales. Rogers is well versed in all products (Voice & Video to WAN Fiber networks & Data Centers/Managed Services) on any scale, from SMB to Enterprise. In 2009 Rogers earned his CCNA/CCDA Cisco certification. At RCN, Rogers was responsible for all New York City region Enterprise clients across multiple verticals including the Hospitality and Financial industries.
Rogers joined GCN in June 2011. At GCN Rogers thrives on the ability to fully service clients with the best possible solution from among 150+ carriers. Rogers is laser-focused on the delivery of world class life cycle management for every client of GCN. He is one of GCN’s top Telecom strategists. He understands GCN’s carriers very well and is an expert at fully analyzing proposed carrier solutions to ensure all GCN clients’ business goals are met.
Rogers is a military veteran (2002-2009), having originally joined the Pennsylvania Army National Guard as a Field Artillery Cannoneer. Later, Rogers served honorably as a maneuver company sniper and completed a tour in Nangarhar province Afghanistan as part of Operation Enduring Freedom (2008). Rogers was honorably discharged in early 2009.
Off the clock, Rogers enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter. He actively participates in various charities to benefit veterans and the environment. Rogers is also an avid homebrewer in his spare time.
