In mid-March, Telecom for Change–an organization of telecom agents and carriers–held its annual fundraiser in Las Vegas. This year’s event included a lunch, dinner, drinks, auction, and golf tournament. More importantly, it raised money for Safe Nest, which offers shelter, advocacy, counseling, and prevention to people who have experienced domestic violence.
“Telecom For Change is a great charity, run by good friends,” says GCN Founder, CEO, and President, Chris Palermo. “Global Communication Networks is an 18-year-old Telecom company that strives to raise money for worthy causes. It was a great fit and we were proud to be one of their sponsors.”
As one of those sponsors, we are pleased to report that the Telecom for Change event raised $35,000 to benefit Safe Nest.
We were thrilled to see our logo at one of the tournament’s golf holes. But we’re even happier to know that members of the telecom industry worked together like this to raise money for such a good cause.
