For the third year in a row, GCN proudly sponsored the 23rd annual Thanksgiving Food Drive organized by the 100 Black Men of South Florida. Since its inception in 1989, this food drive has served over 50,000 families all across South Florida. Thanks to the generous support of this year’s sponsors (including Publix, UPS, and GCN), the volunteers–including a number of GCN employees–were able to package and give 755 food baskets to families in need all throughout the community.
Speaking on behalf of the 100 Black Men of South Florida, Thanksgiving Food Drive Chairman, Bobby Hall, told GCN:
On Saturday, November 21st the 100 Black Men of South Florida conducted its 23rd annual Thanksgiving Food Drive. With the help of our sponsors, Publix, GCN and UPS, we were able to deliver over 750 complete meal baskets to less fortunate families throughout South Florida. We would like to give a special thanks to GCN. Not only did they give financial support, but they also came out in full force with their families to provide man power and sweat equity. GCN is the epitome of what it means to be philanthropic from both a corporate and personal perspective.
We at GCN would also like to thank the 100 Black Men of South Florida for organizing this event and for working so tirelessly to give back to the community. Our partnership with them affirms the values that are central to our mission as a business leader.
